They cashed my check the next business day but didn't phone me (or return my calls) for SIX WEEKS. </p> <p>Meanwhile, a contractor friend of ours was replacing our fence and noticed at the sad state of disrepair our roof was in. He offered to come out and replace the roof that weekend if I could get my deposit back. There started the Contractor Wars.
