Heh heh heh, oh Kougar, we judge, but we also understand. I have dropped many a much-wanted food on to the floor and have stood there, weighing the pros and cons of still eating it. Hell, at Chevron, I dropped my energy bar on our kiosk floor (which has never, to my knowledge, been cleaned) and still ate it.

So, yeah, been there!

OK - don't judge me.

But I was making dinner a couple nights ago. I was in a hurry because it was the last thing I was doing -- pulling a pizza out of the oven. The dang thing slid right off the pan and upside down onto the floor. All that cheese! Cheese is pricey. Homemade pizza. So I grabbed the spatula nearby, flipped the pizza back on the pan and...after it cooled...ate it. The kids wouldn't eat it. Fine. I made burritos and cheesey bread also (no, we're not pigs, I just like leftovers so I don't have to cook every meal. OK fine, we're pigs) so they weren't neglected.

John had one slice, after I had two, asking me if I found any hairs yet, and asking how clean the floor was. Luckily the floor was cleaner than normal, a fluke or someone's looking out for us...or I'm a klutz.

Of course I said something along the lines of "I've had worse in my mouth" which sounded bad, but I meant like bugs from bike rides or car windows down, or bugs milled into flour, dirt on vegetables, etc. No, bugs aren't all bad. Anyway, that's what our immune system is for, right?

Anyway, I ate Floor Pizza. Pretty good. Er, just ok rather. Makes you appreciate non-floor-food when you get it, that's for sure.

I hear you judging me. I told you not to!

At work a coworker had made a mock-up of an elvis cake... it was cupcakes. Bananabread was the cakey part, then topped with peanut butter cream frosting. On top was pieces of bacon.

Yeah, I had one. It was an odd taste.

Last night at OSU there was a lecture I attended. Food was served, and I finally got up the nerve to go see what they had. In a warming plate there was some sort of cream cheese fluffy stuff, with something chopped & green. Hot and gooey. Fluffy. It was so good, I want the recipe. Wonder what it's called.

"Victorian Rose Tea"

Imagine you steeped some potpourri in hot water, then added a bit of milk and sugar, then drank it.

Also, for some reason there was black tea in your potpourri.

Actually, it's not that bad. It's just that my brain keeps telling me that I shouldn't be drinking this

salmon pizza from scratch. Salmon pizza in of it's self is good, mine was not.

It reminded me of cat food.

My coworker offered these vietnamese cookies called umbrella cookies (also known as Banh Lo Tai)... made from tapioca. They're really unusual. Not very sweet, but actually quite tasty and addicting.

I'm drinking an Indian Chai Tea right now, and I've got to say, I'm not used to beverages which list "pepper" as an ingredient.

It's not bad, it's just I have to keep reminding my brain that this is tea and not soup.
