So he probably won't survive much longer any way. And as for hanging out, I get up at 4.30 am to make it to campus before 6.30, thus ensuring me a parking spot, and then don't get home until around 7pm. I'm exhausted and cranky all the time. Should probably pass on that offer until June. After which I will be moving somewhere as-yet undecided. Its not even MY man. Its another one (who we've all met at a certain river, the day of a certain going-away party) who has YET AGAIN decided to resurface and try to mess stuff up. I am aggravated today. Because he doesn't actually DO anything I can call him out on. He just implies it. At the same time, when he's behaving, he is a valuable friend, and a very interesting, unique and charming person. Which is why I even bother talking to him. But once in a while... ugh... he really gets on my nerves, and I swear, he is intentionally making Adam uncomfortable. It seems like we cycle through this every 3 months or so for the last... oh... 4 years. I'm exhausted. I suck at these kinds of things. There is a common courtesy to actually assist me when I try to do over the phone tech support for these people. I can only do so much over the phone. I am the brains, you are the eyes and hands. I tell you what to do and please do it... On that note, try explaining a serial or a usb cable to a person who "just doesn't get it" - which turns into a 1 hour call about what the cable looks like. Yeah, this job is that exciting. I could go on for days. Last time they did that, they ended up injecting steriods and a powerful anti-inflammatory into my SPINE with a big needle and I didn't feel my legs for like a day and a half, but it worked to end the episode. I don't think this one will go that far. They do spinal fusions for older people who slip discs, but in general we young are strong and limber and we can fight the flares off with a little help from pills. I just needed something to quell the pain so that I could do my normal activities. The best recovery strategy is to continue using the back muscles and they will compensate for the injury while it rights itself, the problem is that when it hurts the muscles don't want to cooperate. My complaint pans the last 11 days: I had a flare up of my slipped disc 11 days ago. Usually I can handle it-- 3ish days kicking back with some muscle relaxers and anti-inflams. For some reason, however, this time it's not working, doc #2 thinks I might have a "complication" whatever that means. So I am complaining about 11 freaking days of the kind of pain that makes you want to pass out everytime I have to move in any direction. The kind that makes you dehydrate yourself by drinking only the fluids necessary to get pills down so that you don't have to get up to pee. I'm complaining about sleepless nights because there is no pain-free position, I don't know about you, but pain tends to keep me awake. And I'm not going to complain about it again because the doc today gave me Percocet. (His name, sex, age, location, dob...drivers license...you get the picture. looks bad. looks like him. saved to computer, logged in when its visited) So I promised to stop snooping. (I seldom do anyway.) Regain trust, ya know? But the second - the very second - that I go back on my word, I find more incriminating stuff. Cell phone messages. Phone numbers. Computer history. So yea...I don't trust downloads. But how it is that he was able to hack a program that sent myspace messages to his email? That was ages ago. Myspace is easy to hack probably. Maybe if I cross my fingers and just click away, the right programs will be downloaded, I can "hack" into his email and find out what else he's been doing. Cuz apparently what I've found isn't proof enough (can I underline that?!) and it's all coincidence and my imagination. (Side note: I HAVE been cutting and pasting things I've found. Of course, a person could always claim it's been forged. So easy to do with a computer.) (Side note two: I promised to not enable history on his computer. This was months and months ago. Confession: I lied. I put it back on two days ago. Already there's tons of...garbage.) (Side note three: I SUCK at picking out men. I give up. I'm serious. I officially give up. You heard it here.
