So he probably won't survive much longer any way.

And as for hanging out, I get up at 4.30 am to make it to campus before 6.30, thus ensuring me a parking spot, and then don't get home until around 7pm. I'm exhausted and cranky all the time. Should probably pass on that offer until June. After which I will be moving somewhere as-yet undecided. But what happens when that plethora of networkees start blabbering on about crap that you can't stand? In ways that make it even less stand-able?

For example, hallelujah, one of my long-term friends has an on-again, off-again relationship with Christianity and it drives me NUTS when she's high on the bible. Seriously, if you love that thing so much, just make it into a body pillow and SHADDUP about it! Her current train of thought on mybook is gay-bashing, apocalypse-crying, rainbow-fearing "jokes" that make me want to stick a rainbow-painted boot so far up her ass that her hair turns pink again.

Another are Oregon measures 66 & 67. A few people I know can loose their jobs if these don't pass, and I am incredibly sorry to hear this, I don't wish unemployment on anyone, but running around trying to drama-queen, guilt-trip others into voting just so YOU can keep your job is, in short, not well thought-out. You've lost a job before, we all have, so stop crying to everyone that they need to vote for, basically, you.

I need to catch my breath now...../rant
avery on "The weirdest thing I've consumed recently" http://company-y.com/forum/topic/the-weirdest-thing-ive-consumed-recently#post-145 Sun, 17 Jan 2010 08:32:51 +0000 avery 145@http://company-y.com/forum/
Heh heh heh, oh Kougar, we judge, but we also understand. Its not even MY man. Its another one (who we've all met at a certain river, the day of a certain going-away party) who has YET AGAIN decided to resurface and try to mess stuff up. I am aggravated today. Because he doesn't actually DO anything I can call him out on. He just implies it. At the same time, when he's behaving, he is a valuable friend, and a very interesting, unique and charming person. Which is why I even bother talking to him. But once in a while... ugh... he really gets on my nerves, and I swear, he is intentionally making Adam uncomfortable. It seems like we cycle through this every 3 months or so for the last... oh... 4 years. I'm exhausted. I suck at these kinds of things.
Kougar on "In The News" http://company-y.com/forum/topic/in-the-news#post-140 Sat, 09 Jan 2010 20:33:07 +0000 Kougar 140@http://company-y.com/forum/
Ya know, I'm as Christian as the next hypocrite (......pause for chuckles) but this is both sad and maddening.

"Albany preschool teacher arrested in sex-abuse of boy"
http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2009/12/albany_preschool_teacher_arres.html

"Teacher enters plea of not guilty"
http://democratherald.com/news/local/article_aa102b22-f0f9-11de-a6d0-001cc4c03286.html

I worked out at this school last year as their janitor. Not my dream job after years of college, but I appreciated the work. And for the most part they were nice to me. I did feel judged for living-in-sin rather than marriage, which they probably didn't ALL know about. I think they knew I wasn't 7th day Adventist. Maybe. I wore jewelry and sometimes a nose ring. I am SURE that was rough to handle, but I yam what I yam.

Anyway, it makes me sick to think that while I was busy trying to hide my 'sinful' ways from them, they're busy molesting children, on the very grounds I cleaned! Can I go barf now?! I keep thinking, that poor kid, and HER poor kids (she had a small tribe of her own, one her victim's age).

It's just all so sad, makes me wonder what other atrocities are happening before my own eyes, makes me sick.

"Job-seekers drawn to Trader Joe’s"
http://www.gazettetimes.com/news/local/article_78d4fe18-fb33-11de-9316-001cc4c03286.html

She's on the front page of yesterday's paper applying for new work at Trader Joes (yeah, Trader Joes!). For a few days I couldn't have coffee. No, not my coffee! Everything I love, my stomach hates. Luckily the internets helps with info on how to tackle it. Why can't my body just work perfect without me helping it along? Like when I was an oblivious child. Geez.
Kougar on "The weirdest thing I've consumed recently" http://company-y.com/forum/topic/the-weirdest-thing-ive-consumed-recently#post-138 Sat, 09 Jan 2010 20:12:25 +0000 Kougar 138@http://company-y.com/forum/
OK - don't judge me.

But I was making dinner a couple nights ago. I was in a hurry because it was the last thing I was doing -- pulling a pizza out of the oven. The dang thing slid right off the pan and upside down onto the floor. All that cheese! Cheese is pricey. Homemade pizza. So I grabbed the spatula nearby, flipped the pizza back on the pan and...after it cooled...ate it. The kids wouldn't eat it. Fine. I made burritos and cheesey bread also (no, we're not pigs, I just like leftovers so I don't have to cook every meal. OK fine, we're pigs) so they weren't neglected.

John had one slice, after I had two, asking me if I found any hairs yet, and asking how clean the floor was. Luckily the floor was cleaner than normal, a fluke or someone's looking out for us...or I'm a klutz.

Of course I said something along the lines of "I've had worse in my mouth" which sounded bad, but I meant like bugs from bike rides or car windows down, or bugs milled into flour, dirt on vegetables, etc. No, bugs aren't all bad. Anyway, that's what our immune system is for, right?

Anyway, I ate Floor Pizza. Pretty good. Er, just ok rather. Makes you appreciate non-floor-food when you get it, that's for sure.

I hear you judging me.
